Function of Department

The department of Unified Greeley County Treasurer has the primary function of collecting real estate, personal property, intangible and motor vehicle taxes, special assessment, and  other miscellaneous taxes for the county, cities, townships, school districts, and  other taxing jurisdictions. The Treasurer apportions and distributes such revenue to local taxing units. In addition, the Treasurer performs the function of a bank  for all revenue-generating county departments.

  • To provide friendly, efficient, and professional service to all customers in the collection of property taxes, registering vehicles, and titling vehicles
  • To keep accurate accounting records of all the financial transactions of the county
  • To initiate programs that benefit Unified Greeley County taxpayers
